QUESTIONS
Do I need to install an app?
No. Jotline works entirely over text message, so it runs on any phone that can send an SMS — including a flip phone. There is nothing to download and no account to sign into on your phone.
How do I add a task by text?
Text it in plain English, like "add task renew my passport". Jotline works out that it is a task, saves it, and texts back a confirmation. To finish one, text "done with the passport".
Can I set a reminder by text message?
Yes. Text something like "remind me tomorrow at 9 to call the dentist" and a text arrives at 9:00am your local time. Reminders can repeat daily, weekly or on weekdays, and you can reply "snooze 20m" when one arrives.
How much does Jotline cost?
Solo is $8 a month for 300 assistant messages. Plus is $15 a month for 1,000 messages and integrations. Both start with a 7-day free trial, and you can cancel any time from your account.
How is this different from a to-do list app?
A to-do list app only helps if you open it. Jotline lives in the messaging app you already have open, so capturing something takes one text and no context switch. Reviewing anything happens through a secure link it texts you.
Can I send a voice note instead of typing?
Yes. Send a voice memo and Jotline transcribes it and acts on it exactly as if you had typed it, which is useful when you are driving or your hands are dirty. It reads photos too, such as a receipt or a handwritten list.
Does it work with other tools?
Jotline connects to Harvest for time tracking, so you can text "log 2 hours on the Miller job", and to Farmbrite for farm tasks and schedules. More connectors are being added.
How do I stop the messages?
Reply STOP to any message and Jotline stops texting you immediately. Reply START to turn them back on, or HELP for help. Standard message and data rates apply.
