JOTLINE TERMS OF SERVICE

THE SERVICE
Jotline is a subscription personal-assistant service operated over SMS and a companion web app. You text Jotline; it stores tasks, reminders, shopping lists, and journal entries, sends you the reminders and check-ins you configure, and can perform actions in third-party services you explicitly connect.
ELIGIBILITY AND ACCOUNT
You must be 18 or older, be the authorized user of the mobile number you register, and provide accurate billing information. You are responsible for activity conducted through your number.
SMS TERMS
By replying YES during signup you consent to receive automated text messages from Jotline at the number you provided. Consent is not a condition of any purchase beyond the Jotline subscription itself. Message frequency varies with your usage. Message and data rates may apply — carrier charges are your responsibility. Reply HELP for help and STOP to stop all messages at any time. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
SUBSCRIPTION AND BILLING
Plans are billed monthly through Stripe, with a 7-day free trial. Each plan includes a monthly message allowance; we will notify you by text before and when you reach it. You can cancel anytime from the billing portal; service continues to the end of the paid period. Fees are non-refundable except where required by law.
ACCEPTABLE USE
Don't use Jotline for unlawful purposes, to store or transmit content you have no right to, or to attempt to disrupt the service. Automated or bulk traffic to Jotline's number is prohibited. We may suspend accounts for abuse.
THIRD-PARTY INTEGRATIONS
When you connect an integration, you authorize Jotline to act on your behalf in that service using credentials you supply. Those services have their own terms; actions we take at your instruction are your responsibility.
AI-GENERATED INTERPRETATION
Jotline uses AI to interpret your messages. It can make mistakes — review confirmations, and verify important dates and amounts. Jotline is not a substitute for professional, medical, legal, or emergency services. Do not rely on it for emergency communications.
DISCLAIMERS AND LIABILITY
The service is provided "as is" without warranties. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim is limited to the amounts you paid us in the three months before the claim arose. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, or for missed or delayed messages.
CHANGES
We may update these terms; material changes will be notified by text or email. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
